New Year’s Eve

Post by Bob Green » December 31st, 2022, 9:00 am

Green Family will be celebrating at home as always. Plans are to watch football and eat appetizers such as bacon wrapped sweet potatoes and baked kielbasa with pineapple chunks prepared by daughter Janice.

One traditional dish I will prepare is a pot of black eye peas with the leftover ham bone from Christmas dinner.

What are your plans?

Watching soccer this morning, then college football from noon until midnight.

Cook a leg of lamb.

Open a nice bottle of wine.

Enjoy.

I'll be watching basketball and football, and likely the ball drop. Julie will be asleep by midnight, as always. :p
We were supposed to be in Charleston this weekend with my mom, but she came down with a bad cold, so we're home. Silver lining, we're taking advantage of the warm weather to work on a few house projects.

Tomorrow we're going to Cary for the Chinese Lantern Festival. It looks amazing!
