Re: WooooHooooo We Are Up And Running
Crap. I'm reading this thread and thinking about brews and posted this here inadvertently to commemorate the WooHoo thread. If the mods wish to move this to the beer thread, move away  . On the contrary, I propose that we all celebrate the "Up and Running" status of this board. 10PM tonight (...

I guess my celebratory face.... (Cathy and Lavabe know the reference here ;)) was Holy Sheet, an uber abbey ale from the Clipper City folks in Ball-more, Md. Deep, reddish-brown and a nice, but not great representation of the abbey, or dubble, Belgian style of brown ales. A very clean brew without ...

Re: Spring Game
We have theatre tix for a 2 PM show in Raleigh that day but I'd love come over for an hour or so prior to the game and have a bagel, biscuit and brew if anyone is gathering before kick-off.

Wow, I have fallen far behind the current leaders, CB&B and colchar, but the day is still young and, after all, I am at the beach ;) .

Several of the regular posters on the "ymm, beer" thread on the "other" board have quite a fondness for a number of the Unibroue (sp?) offerings. .colchar wrote:All this talk of beer makes me miss London more than ever. Some great beers over there. Oh well, at least I can console myself with rye...

WOW! That sounds incredible, thanks for sharing your review. I've got a couple special bottles for tonight as well, but niether will top that. Great find. You need to be closer to Brunchgate country  I wish I was, although there is something fun about struggling to find Duke football on the ra...

Re: Nice board!
Hi everyone. I don't know most of you, but I know a few. Just wanted to drop in and wish you the best in this new board. I probably won't be very active here, but I'll likely lurk from time to time. I was a very active poster on DBR several years ago and left for pretty much the exact same reasons ...

Re: LTE 2.0
I hope they wouldn't. They encouraged us to play elsewhere, so I view it as mutual. We aren't looking to replicate DBR, there is a reason Our House has over 400 posts and The Stadium has under 25. We are here mostly because we are a community who enjoys posting about anything and are fans of Duke, ...
Re: LTE 2.0
HA! Kick ass! I'm so glad I found this site. Welcome! Nice to have you aboard. I wonder how many more of our brethren will be joining us over the next few days/weeks? Think the mods would pull any thread started on DBR announcing this house? :-) (Haven't been there consistently for a while) Doubt i...

Miles, no, BUT, I think I saw a post from him on the "paying for the site thread." Ymo-I hinted to him about the site but not sure if he joined yet. Perhaps we should both sen...
