Am backing up the files on my laptop before I run the restore disk (isn't it ironic that the "restore" disk basically unrestores almost everything?). My USB ports, all three of them, have quit, and I've tried every suggested fix except the restore disk. :( Which means I'm using Mr. Lawgrad's laptop...
